茶の湯

I believe the essence of Chanoyu lies in the shared enjoyment of time between host and guests, and in cultivating an appreciation for the beauty found in everyday life. The spirit of tea exists in a traditional setting, just as it does in nature with a portable Chabako.

My practice is rooted in asobi-gokoro—a playful, creative spirit—that I often remind myself to embrace. It reminds me of the wisdom of the great master Rikyu who stated that while we often wait for the full-blown blossoms, the beauty of spring is already alive in the small, humble buds beneath our feet.

I sincerely invite you to join me for our teatime. It is quiet invitation to set aside the busyness of the day and discover the spring that is already waiting in the simplest of details.
